Damaged Hair HELP!!

HELLO DOLLS!

Alright; so a few weeks ago I did a Review on Paul Mitchell Color Care Review ; well this product believe it or not leaves my hair very damaged =| , I have very thick hair and as much as it makes my hair shine it leaves my hair with a VERY dry touch. I'm going crazy looking for the right hair product but I dont want to put just anything in my hair, my hair is very damaged right now. I've been browsing around reading blogs and you ladies talk about a hair mask can you girls tell me a little about that? THANK-YOU <333

Flat Iron To Go

My summer vacation is starting next Friday; I am going away to North Carolina For a few days .. it's my cousin sweet 15 and most of my family will be there i am so excited =]
I am sure many of you girls are going away; and well we all want to look great so we have to must have [ to bring ]:: and one of those is the flat iron, check out these ways to take better care of the flat iron so it lasts 'til you get home again.

It's a good idea to have a heat-safe case like this one. Not only will it protect your iron and clothing from heat, it also doubles as a resting spot so you don't burn the counter top at your hotel. They have this same exact one for $ 7 check it out

Wrapping the cord around a flat iron or any electrical device for that matter can stress the connection points and damage the cord rending the hot tool cool forever. Prevent frayed ends by bundling it loosely alongside, not tying it tight.

Put protective material between the plates to prevent scratches and cracks if they clack together. I saved the pad that came in the original packaging for this purpose, but you can add in a small stack of tissues (and rubber band the outside) to cushion it yourself when it's cool only, of course.

Just like you soaked perfume in cotton balls for safe carry-on travel, do the same with styling iron cleaner. Product buildup can pull and snag your hair since gummy plates can't slip and slide down your tresses smoothly.

Lauren Conrad Braid

Just when you think you've seen nearly every type of braid imaginable, leave it to Lauren Conrad to add her own twist. At last night's book signing for LA Candy and appearance on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien, Lauren busted out the braids again. But this time, she chose dual French braids that looped together in the back, forming a loose, chic bun. I think this is such a cute do for the summer-time because we dont want apparently our hair has a mind of it's own in the hot icky weather.

Here are some tips on re-creating last night's updo version.

1. For a shiny effect with slight hold, apply a glossing gel to damp hair and blow-dry. Try Nivea Diamond Gloss Styling Gel ($12).
2. Part the hair down the middle. Starting from one side of the part, loosely French braid the hair all the way down, stopping the braiding at to the nape. Secure with an elastic band. Repeat on the other side. Note how Lauren's stylist only braided hair along the sides, leaving hair from the crown down to the neck out of the mix.
3. Leaving the two braids out, gather the hair from the crown down to the neck into a ponytail. Secure with an elastic band and twist hair around it, securing with bobby pins into the base of the pony.
4. Finish up by twisting and wrapping the two ends around the "bun" you created in the third step, using bobby pins to secure. Add a spritz of hair spray (such as David Babaii for WildAid Light Styling Spray, $12.50) for a little hold.

Are you girls going to try this look for the summer??

how to grow out BANGS*

Hey ladies, I have been super busy catching up with everything and well I finally finished my workshop, I have a test later on this afternoon so wish me luck just kidding ya'll don’t have to wish me good luck; anyhow starting today I will be posting up daily so I hope you girls are still interested in reading my blog I hope everyone is doing fine xoxoxo

Lauren Conrad is known for her infamous braid. Well don’t we all wonder what’s the story behind the braid??

Lauren: I've gone a little overkill with the braid," she admitted. "I cut my own bangs, so I have to braid it back a lot. I have weird Girl, Interrupted bangs going on." Not sure if they're weird, per se, but they're certainly trend-setting — and just another trick to add to the list of ways to grow our your bangs.

Just like Lauren we all know bangs can be sophisticated, classy, cute & fun but when it's time to grow them out OH how you wish you never got them at all ... they take really long braiding them is one way to grow out you hair and these are some other ways you can deal with your bangs when they're in that awkward stage

  1. Hair accessories are now officially your best friends. Indulge in some retail therapy and pick up a new sparkly clip or fun patent leather headband to help get you through the next few months.

  1. Focus on styles that help the bangs blend into the rest of your hair. A cute look right now involves parting the front of your hair in the middle, twisting it off to either side, and securing it with clips. This might work better when your bangs are a bit longer. For shorter bangs, try twisting some of the longer hair from the side of your head in with the shorter pieces.
  1. If you are going to push the bangs back with a headband, use a styling pomade to smooth them back into the rest of your hair first. Otherwise, they will stick straight up behind the band. Try any styling gel or you can pin them back with bobby pins, and place a headband or tie a hair ribbon right over the pins to conceal them.

Spring's must have

goodbye yucky rain and humidness and hello SUMMER!
aren't you girls so sick of this weather one day its nice & hot perfect beach weather and the next day is pouring rain and super chilly and this is such a big no no since it ruins all our make up and hair.

I picked out a few good products; from nails to hair so lets get started ...

As the days get hotter, don't you have the urge to wash your hair every single day? well as we all know washing your hair every day is not the best thing to do because we tend to strip away our natural oils. Green Rootine Dry Shampoo [$19] is a brush-on hair powder that allows you to target and absorb the oil that builds up on your hair and scalp. Jonathan’s version of a dry shampoo comes in 2 shades light and dark, and contains all natural ingredients.
how many times do you wash your hair in a week??

Floral designs are very in, we see them everywhere from clothing to makeup. Instead of swirling that brush into any plain old blush or eyeshadow, how about dipping it into a pretty makeup palettes with floral designs? the body shop roseflower eye shadows [$9] is available in two shades, these shades are perfect for the summertime. Limited-Edition In Bloom Cheek Color Duo [$24] can be worn individually or together to contour and highlight.

your toes are definitely coming out with these beach weather we want to show off our new sandals, but why not save some bucks in your wallet and skip a visit at the nail salon. This Tweezerman Pedicure Kit ($15) and found at Target.

From reading past blogs; i can see that purple is IN. i really love the purple look also but for the daytime i dont want a heavy, smoked-out kind of purple, but a softer, lavender tone. Revlon has these cute light cool shaded purple's eye shadows for only $ 7 now thats a snatch!

Metallic eyes & Glittery eyes were all over the Spring runways particularly thick, sparkly liners. These are sold in Victoria Secret [$15]

cindy's hair

items used

amika - hair straightener

review::
Tresemme root boosting spray is such a great product especially if you want VOLUME. this is from the new line tresemme they came out with the 24" hour collection, this product has a nozzle so it makes it really easy to apply at the roots.

got2b- guardian angel heat protector
helps protect your hair; while styling, blow drying, & straighten its proven to protect hair from 425 degree heat protection, it works really well and smells pretty good. I spray this all over my hair but especially my ends since they tend to split.

before :
she has very wavy & frizzy hair; what i did is sprayed the got2b heat protector all over her hair especially by the ends.

i parted her hair into 4 pieces; & put a small amount of frizz buster, let it dry into her hair i did this before straightening so it can just fall into her hair.

she wanted curls in the bottom; i sprayed aussie hair spray which is a MUST, this hairspray is really good. [ 10 minutes later she wanted me to straighten the bottom because she was very sleepy] great waste of hairspray :p

parted her top hair; sprayed tresemme body booster on the roots, while i was straighten her hair from the front area i would put the big brush under her hair and hold it there; this gives you volume.

after

look at all the volume at the top of her hair ♥

Change of hair color

alright so this past month i have dyed my hair twice; whoopsies i went to the Paul Mitchell salon in the middle of MAY and they did a color correction and dyed my hair to a very dark auburn. I went back two weeks later and dyed it again, a little lighter [it's the same color as the girl in the picture next to the hair treatments] i'm not so sure if you can see it. While dying my hair, they were giving me great advice they were telling me that out of all colors red is the fastest color to wash out and boy were they right, when i washed my hair at my house a few days later i was putting in the color care treatments & when i look to the floor i see nothing BUT RED i didn't even see my own floor and i was FREAKING out !! i was so upset i thought all the red washed out, great waste of money, well a few days later i washed my hair again same thing... little by little somehow these treatment made my hair lighter, the more i used it the more you could see my hair color and i loved it now my hair is so shiny & very auburn just the way i wanted it, even though every time i wash my hair the red washes off a lot yet it somehow comes out lighter.. weird ehh?? sorry if i confused y'all

this is the reconstructive treatment; it repairs and protects you hair this is the website where you can check out the ingredients & what it provides they are also having a contest were you can win your own color care treatment package.

aren't celebrities so lucky; they can dye their hair anytime they want and they don't have to worry about damaging their hair. look at Jessica biel she dyed her drastically

light brown with highlights

dark brown with highlights

chocolate brown

deep auburn

blonde

platinum blonde

what hair color do you think fits her the bestt & how often do you dye your hair?

HiGHLiGHTS*

I was reading a article on how to keep your highlights longer lasting.
According to the article, whether you got your highlights from a box or a salon, every time you wash with a shampoo that packs harsh detergents, you’re stripping away color.
L’OrĂ©al EverPure Moisture Shampoo, or Paul Mitchell Color Care.
are great great products to keep your hair longer lasting they Keep the color from running off every time you shower.

Brilliant. Vivid. Long-lasting.

Get intense color protection with Paul Mitchell® Color Care.

• Extends hair color with sunflower extracts offering UV protection

• Provides strength and improved elasticity

I have also been noticing a few stars; having lighter highlights at the end.

Check out their version of the lighter-at-the-ends look. What do you think? Love it? Hate it?

HAiR* [ SCALP]

want healthier hair? start focusing more on the scalp!
pay attention to your scalp, it is your main ticket into getting a healthier hair.
John Frieda Root Awakening contains eucalyptus, menthol and peppermint oil to stimulate your scalp. Also massage the suds into your head with your fingertips to stimulate blood flow to your roots

I was also reading in a article i stummbled upon and it said.
Breakfest is the most important meal for your hair because the energy levels to your hair follicles are at their lowest first thing in the morning, and they need a boost. The perfect breakfast consists of:

• any fresh fruit
• one or more of:
- eggs
- a serving of bacon or ham
- kippers or smoked salmon (or any other fish or meat)
- 180g (6oz) of low fat cottage cheese

optional:
• cereals
• yoghurt
• bread
• jam or honey
• juices
• tea or coffee

• sugar

MY 1ST BLOG

Hello loves, so SPRING 09' is offically here it's a time to feel brand new, with a new season here we can turn a new page in our lives.

This is a nice time to make goals for the summer
::
  • my goals for this season is to lose 10 lbs'
  • BOOST up my self esteem!
  • I was always interested in Makeup and Hair, this week I started looking online for tips and I came across the youtube tutorials & i LOVE iT they give amazing tips, this motivated me a lot into creating a better makeup collection.
what are your goals for this season ?

I have recently been going out and buying all natural products for my skin and hair. I've come across two lines that I really love. Burt Bees is one of the products that i ABSOLUTELY LA LA LOVE.

my hair was fried by all the heat that I applied to my hair. I went to macy's and instead of buying tons of clothes I bought Burt Bees products. It is 97.2% Natural. The Soy amino acids moisturize and lift hair, leaving it soft, shiny and full of volume.

“I love this conditioner! Leaves my hair soft and shiny, but rinses clean – a rare find in any conditioner. And it's 97.20% natural – what more could you want? - Hedi H

I couldn't be any more excited about this, Victoria Secret launches their new organic line - PINK body. And the answer – to be green, and more importantly, to empower others to adopt this trend. It’s all about finding ways to look good, feel good, and do a little good, too. In response to this Victoria's Secret has launched PINK Body, a unique line of skin-loving and earth- friendly products created specifically for the pink girl.
